We first met online. After months of getting to know each other by social media, text messaging, and talking on the phone,(Heather's mother was really liking of what she heard of John she kept telling her "You have to go on one date with him") John and Heather agreed to having a first date, Heather was to bring a movie and John making the dinner. From there we have been inseparable!
How We Got Engaged
On October 1, 2015 John surprised Heather with tickets to see Cinderella on Broadway in Boston. Heather was blown away with the surprise, not thinking there would be more to come. After the show, John and Heather left the Boston Opera House to find a beautiful horse and carriage waiting across the street, as John had arranged. Heather was excited to meet the horse, not realizing the horse and carriage were for her. The coachman asked if they wanted to go for a ride. After a lovely ride through the streets of downtown Boston, the horse and carriage came to a stop at the Public Garden. John and Heather (still oblivious to what was coming next) went for a romantic walk through the garden and stopped at a beautiful pond with swans and ducks. While Heather was admiring the scenery, John got down on one knee and proposed. Heather was speechless and teary-eyed. John asked, Can you give me an answer now so I can stand up?!" Heather nodded her head yes, and said, "It's About Damn Time!"
About the Ring
The ring is a unique Neil Lane design that Heather picked out before she even met John. With her heart set on that one, she kept browsing through all the rings in different shops and found herself still going back to that one. (she calls it her Princess ring) John then knew which ring Heather should have, he had bought it the day before he proposed, since he knew Heather would find it.
Our Shared Interests
As many couples do, we love spending time with one another, when we are together we do a variety of things together we are practically inseparable. Some of the things are: Watching a movie curled up on the couch, going to one-another's family's homes and spending quality time with them.
Our Favorite Date Night
When we need a night out it's so rare that we don't really have a go-to, but we get into the car without a destination and figure it all out on the way.
What Part of the Wedding Are You Most Excited About?
We are looking forward to spending time with our families and close friends at the beautiful Old Lantern Barn.
